This painting emerged from a desire to explore the idea of adornment as empowerment. I was drawn to the crown not as an object of status, but as a vessel, something that holds beauty, history, and intention. The florals represent vitality and growth, while the animal patterns introduce instinct and strength, grounding the elegance in something primal and real.
As I layered the composition, I focused on harmony between contrast and softness , allowing bold colour and pattern to exist alongside restraint and calm. The pearls and trailing florals were added as a counterpoint, offering a sense of quiet luxury and timeless femininity. This artwork holds a moment of richness without excess, a reminder that beauty can be both powerful and composed.
