Care & Longevity | Preserving Your Original Artwork
A Luxe Wall Art by Lisa piece is constructed using professional materials, layered finishes, and protective coatings. Whether you have collected an original painting or commissioned a custom artwork, simple and informed care will help preserve its luminosity, structure, and presence for decades.

Dusting & Surface Cleaning
For routine care, keep maintenance gentle and minimal. The surface of a mixed-media or gold leaf painting should never be treated like glass or furniture.
• Dust lightly using a clean, soft, dry microfibre cloth.
• Avoid wet cloths, sprays, or household cleaning solutions.
• Never use abrasive cloths, paper towel, or scrubbing motions.
• If uncertain about a mark, contact the studio before attempting deeper cleaning.
Light & Placement
Light brings gold leaf to life. However, prolonged harsh direct sunlight can gradually affect pigments over time. For optimal longevity of original and commissioned artworks:
• Avoid constant exposure to strong, direct afternoon sun.
• Choose bright interiors with indirect light where possible.
• Consider sheer curtains or UV-filtering window film if near large windows.
Humidity, Temperature & Airflow
Canvas and protective coatings respond best to stable environments. Excess humidity, condensation, or dramatic temperature fluctuations may stress fibres and finishes.
• Avoid bathrooms, saunas, and areas with persistent steam.
• Keep away from fireplaces, heaters, and air-conditioning vents.
• Aim for a consistent indoor climate where possible.
Handling & Moving Your Artwork
When relocating your original or commissioned painting, handle it as a fine art object rather than decorative décor.
• Lift using two hands, holding the frame or stretcher edges.
• Avoid touching painted or metallic areas directly.
• Do not place artwork face-down on rough or uneven surfaces.
Gold Leaf Care Notes
Gold leaf used within Luxe Wall Art is professionally sealed to preserve luminosity and structural stability. However, metallic areas should still be treated with care.
• Avoid rubbing or applying pressure over gold leaf sections.
• Do not apply liquids or cleaning agents to metallic surfaces.
• If lifting or cracking occurs following impact, contact the studio promptly.

Archival Finishes & Longevity
Each artwork is completed with professional isolation coats and varnishes selected for clarity, durability, and long-term protection. When placed and maintained in stable conditions, sealed mixed-media paintings can remain vibrant and structurally sound for decades.
Temporary Storage (If Required)
If storage becomes necessary, treat the artwork with the same care as during display.
• Store upright where possible, not flat.
• Keep in a cool, dry, indoor space away from dampness.
• Cover with breathable material rather than sealing in plastic where condensation may form.
